In my recent work for Exotic Animal World, I uncovered two key issues: while visitors enjoy the park, they’re often disappointed by the lack of maintenance, and the outdated brand identity weakens its marketing efforts. To address these challenges, I developed the “New Era Expedition” concept, which honors the park’s journey and commitment to animal welfare while introducing a refreshed identity to attract both new and returning visitors.
The new visual identity I created is vibrant and playful, designed to appeal to children with colorful illustrations, while still engaging parents looking for a fun, educational outing. The design is inspired by the animals themselves, using a color palette derived from their natural hues and featuring them prominently in signage and social media content.
Within the park, I replaced outdated signage with cohesive, engaging designs and updated the exhibit information boards with durable, illustrated panels that include QR codes for additional content. I also introduced new merchandise, such as a coloring book for children and colorful prints for parents, all aligned with the park’s updated look. Additionally, I launched a new website that offers detailed animal information and online ticket purchasing.
While I’m pleased with the overall improvements, I believe the logo could have been more unique, and I wish I had incorporated more illustrations on the website. Nonetheless, I’m confident that the revitalized identity makes Exotic Animal World far more relevant and appealing to its target audience.
